This high quality new-build house with a super efficient thermal and airtightness envelope is constructed from a pre-fabricated timber frame using Passivhaus standards as a benchmark for the design.
Spark Structures were responsible for the design and detailing of the insulated reinforced concrete raft foundation as well as the on site drainage scheme. The raft foundation has been polished and left exposed to form the finished floor throughout the ground floor of the property.
The pre-fabricated timber frame structure was designed by the manufacturer (PYC Group) and was reviewed by Spark Structures to ensure coordination with the overall scheme. The project has a focus on the use of natural materials where possible, and integrated ASHP (air source heat pump) and MVHR (mechanical ventilation with heat recovery) systems.
